Our Story

Helping to restore the dignity of the less fortunate through compassion, empathy and kindness

Located in Cary, NC, A.R.K Foundation USA is an Internationally trademarked, 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization that provides FREE luggage to foster children in the United States. Every year over 400,000 children enter the foster care system. Many of these children come from nothing and have very little of their own. A.R.K Foundation USA works diligently to provide a means for these children to move their belonging from different homes and facilities with dignity.

A.R.K stands for Acts of Random Kindness. We all have kindness within us, and it is our kindness and empathy towards others, that showcases our character. We truly believe that “kindness costs nothing” and we should all strive to be a little kinder, not just to others…but to ourselves.

What will your A.R.K. be today?

Meet Our Team

Daniel Monsrud

Founder and President

Daniel is the founder and President of the A.R.K Foundation USA. Daniel saw the need for change and assistance to those forgotten and vulnerable, and created the foundation as a chance to further assist those less fortunate.

Daniel has worked in the IT Engineering space for the past 15 years and currently holds position as a Senior Engineer for FirstHealth of the Carolinas. Daniel served/worked several years for the DoD in both Iraq and Afghanistan and worked directly in support of Special Operation Command (SOC Special Forces) in Iraq.

In his off-time, Daniel is an avid, yet terrible golfer, enjoys learning new music on his ukuleles, and tending to his bonsai trees. Daniel’s focus on “other’s needs above his own” is his driving force. Daniel is always on the lookout for ways to help others and provide comfort and assistance.
